Heat Wreaked Havoc in North India, Temperature Exceeds 40 Degrees in many States

In most of the states of North India, in the afternoon, strong sunlight looks as if it is raining fire from the sky. People are troubled by the ongoing heat wave with this increased temperature. The Meteorological Department has warned of severe heat wave in many states of the country (Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, some parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, western Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and most parts of western Madhya Pradesh in northern India).

IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding heat wave in Delhi. Today the minimum temperature in Delhi during night time is 23 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature can reach 42 degree Celsius during the day.

Temperature of Hilly Areas

If we talk about the hilly areas, then the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of changing the weather in Uttarakhand. It may rain in Uttarakhand in the coming few days, after the rain the temperature may drop slightly. The capital of Uttarakhand (Dehradun) will have the lowest temperature of 19 degree Celsius and the highest temperature of 39 degree Celsius. On the other hand, Shimla in Himachal Pradesh can see the lowest temperature of 18 degree Celsius and the highest temperature of 28 degree Celsius.
